YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTJACQUELINEFLORIMBI NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT Her whole life, Jackie had never experienced true pain. Sure she has gotten some cuts here and there, but nothing compared to what Bellafields gave her. This pain, it wasn't like anything she felt before. They pushed her too much here, trying to make her tolerance to pressure higher. What was the point? Was there even a point? All they did was stick her in some room, turn up the pressure level, and take notes until she was practically on the verge of breaking down. It was a sick place, this Bellafields testing facility. Taking people away from their families and forming them into these...monsters. Some kids got the cool abilities, like fire or flight. But all Jackie got was...pressure. What was so special about that? It did nothing but mostly hurt people. There was really no good out of it.
Usually, around the end of her testing, Jackie would just lie in her bed and roll around in pain for a few hours. But today she felt like she should get out. After all, the more time she spent in her cell, the more her abilities would increase. Jackie hadn't been here for very long, 2 months maximum. And, out of those two months, she really hadn't had a chance to look around Bellafiends. Though what they did inside seemed ugly and horrible, the outside of the facility wasn't half bad. Earlier, Jackie had been looking at a map of Bellafields, and happened to notice a pool. She hadn't been swimming in ages, and it sparked her interest. A week ago or so, she had done a few tests with pressure in water, and found it actually quite soothing than painful.
Arriving to the pool, a sense of relief washed over her body. No one was there. All she needed right now was to be alone for a few minutes. Slipping off her over clothes, she tossed them to a chair about 5 feet away from her. Then, Jackie walked over to the very edge of the pool, having her toes hanging over, barely touching the water. She stared down deeply as the clear liquid, trying to figure out how exactly she would enter it. A cannon ball didn't really seem appropriate for the situation, and just sliding on in didn't seem so fun. Her decision came down to a simple dive. Slowly closing her blue eyes, Jackie pulled her legs together, lifted her hands over her body and jumped in.
The water rushed passed her as her whole body became submerged. Her hair, once dry, was drenched and was being lightly pulled back by the water going in the opposite direction. Little bubbles danced around her, ticking her whole body. Jackie opened her eyes for the first time, and wasn't exactly happy of what she saw. Instead of seeing just a regular old bottom of the pool, she saw everything in blues, darker and lighter. 'Not again....'
Jackie thought to herself as she submerged back to the top. Up above, the pool area looked exactly the same, all in different colors of blue. It was one of Jackie's mutations that made her do this. Her eyes are able to see pressure, in a sense that the darker blue the area, the more pressure there is. It wouldn't really be a big problem to Jackie, if the fact that her pupils didn't disappear every time it happened. Jackie breaststroked over to the edge of the pool and rested her arms in a crossed position on the cement and layed her head on top of it. She blinked a few times, but nothing changed. Jackie had no full control over this power, and it just came and went as it pleased. "All I wanted was a nice swim, is that too much to ask for?"She mumbled to herself and just stayed in her same position. The whole idea of coming to the pool seemed like a pretty bad idea now. I'M SO SICK OF WATCHING WHILE THE MINUTES PASS AS I GO NO WHEREand this is my reaction to everything i fear Callen hurt, pretty much all over. For the last two hours he had been locked in his cell feeling like his head was going to explode. It didn’t, which surprised him a decent amount, and he was told to go do something fun. Oh, yeah, because it’s not like he was being held against his will or anything, right? How he could have fun in this place, well, he had no idea. His first day here he had discovered the lake, which he had returned to once or twice already, and now on his fifth day he decided to find something new, something different.
So he had decided to go to the pool. While he hadn’t actually found it himself he had found a map and he was guessing that counted. After finding a pair of swim trunks, flip flops, and a white tee shirt he set off to locate the pool.
He loved swimming, he really did. As he walked in the direction he thought was the pool his thoughts drifted, as usual. Maybe he would grow scales and gills and be able to breathe under water or something since he loved it so much. Then again, it was all too possible that your “mutation” was just random. If he grew wings he swore he would kill himself. For one thing that would involve growing new bones, feathers, and the rest of his bones becoming about ten times lighter. And if that didn’t sound painful enough he hated flying in airplanes so something told him he wouldn’t like it much better when he knew he was the only was supporting himself.
Pushing the doors to the pool open he instantly wondered if there was anyone else in here. His face wasn’t as swollen but it still looked terrible…Terrible enough that the scientists had actually argued about it with each other for ten minutes on what they should do about it. In Callen’s opinion that’s when it was bad. Honestly, they didn’t care about crap. So his face had to have meant something to them…Or they were just worried about, well…Who knows! His mind was so full of questions and thoughts he had had a constant head ache almost all five days he had been here. One way or another he would get used to this, but man, that sure wasn’t right now.
There was one foot in the pool room when he froze, the door hitting him on this other leg and making him jump, jumping into the room. Yeah, there was someone else in here. But that wasn’t the worrying part. The worrying part was that he actually knew who she was. Well, he was pretty sure he knew who she was. She had been in his class in, what, fifth or six grade…Right before he had been dropped on the streets by his parents. Then they had seen each other a year or two ago, if he remembered correctly. But he had made a point to say he had moved, not to say that his parents had decided that they really didn’t want him.
He had caught the last of her sentence and rose an eyebrow, despite the pain it caused his head. ”All I wanted was a nice swim, is that too much to ask for?” Pausing, he set his stuff down and stepped into the pool after tossing off his shirt, sighing slightly. ”In this place, yeah, it is,” he said after a moment. Her position gave away something was wrong if her words didn’t already. ”You alright?”

YOU CAN FEEL THE POUNDING WRAPPED AROUND YOUR CHESTJACQUELINEFLORIMBI NOTHING'S TOO EXCESSIVE WHEN YOU'VE GOT NOTHING LEFT The last time Jackie had seen some one from her past was about 4 months ago, but it has really felt like forever to her. She was stripped of contact from anyone outside of Bellafields, and it pained her to know that she had no clue how her family was doing. Her grandmother could of died, her sister could have gotten hurt, her dad could have been killed. So many things could have happened, yet here she was, in the middle of London, floating in a pool. There was nothing she could do about it really. I mean, it's not like she was going to hop the fence a try to escape. She would be killed, they made that clear to her on the first day, and where would that get her. Hopefully they would let her out soon, maybe even taken away all the stupid things they have given her. Though, she didn't even know what would happen after her 3 years at Bellafields. Would she just randomly be set free one day? Or would they keep her here, just not run anymore tests on her? Jackie hadn't heard about any Alumni yet, and wondered if there were any. Maybe they just killed them all when they were done with them. Jackie knew they had a morgue, maybe that is what they used to store the bodies of old patients.
Jackie usually mixed very well with people. So, there would usually be nothing wrong with having some guy walk in and get in the pool. Problem was, Jackie wasn't in such a good mood. She was in pain, and her eyes were acting up again. Jackie's head was facing away from the boy, but she heard him talking to her. She smirked at his small comment about Bellafields. It was completely true. Ever since getting here, she had not had one good day. Slowly, Jackie lifted her head up and looked over at the boy that had entered the pool. All she saw was a guy that was a lighter shade of blue. "Or right, my eyes...."
She murmured lightly, hoping to not freak him out. When her eyes switched over to seeing in 'pressure vision' as she liked to call it, her pupils disappeared and all that was left was the color of her blue eyes. Looking down at the water, she blinked her eyes a couple of times, and slowly started to see a change in her eyesight as it began to go back to normal. Once it was complete, Jackie looked back up at the boy. "Yeah, I'm, uh, fine." Jackie said rubbing her eyes a bit. Taking a closer look at the guy, she noticed a familiarity in his face, like she had seen him before. It was impossible though. No one she knew could be here, right?
