it's not rocket science. you must read these.
please abide. we're lenient on most things
but rule breaking rarely happens without
people getting warnings.
01. five accounts only
it's hard enough to keep three accounts active on a literate site, let alone several. if one of your characters isn't active and you don't really feel like rping with him/her anymore then don't delete the account. just pm an admin and we'll move your application to a retired characters board.
if you chose to do this you will not be able to retrieve this character unless you make a new account.
one character per account please. even for twins.
02. no godmodding
we all know what this is and we all know how annoying it is reading about your own character been thrown, stomped on, set on fire and screaming etc, etc. it bugs everybody so don't do it. i'm assuming everybody joining this site knows what it is but i'll explain anyway. this is where you take control of a character that isn't yours. you can't do it and if you do (without the other person's permission) i'll make a very public announcement of your tardness.
03. r rated
it's what this site is. if you have a problem with that then don't join. sex, gore, torture, drugs, violence, all of it plays a part here at bellafields. if reading about any of that will make you queasy then don't join. you have to be over thirteen anyway to join proboards, i don't want complaints from people when you've clearly been prewarned :]
please rate your threads.. put a [m] in the title of the thread if it gets too sexual or violent.
04. display names
UPPERCASE please :] because i've got all pedantic over upper case letters, i think it looks neater this way. and oh em gee for the love of god don't have your display name as something irritating like 'AnGeL98'. it would be an insult to morons to call you moronic.
05. word limit
come on people, write at least two paragraphs even with writers block. the limit is going to be four hundred and fifty words (450). we also expect literacy on this board, this includes; sentence structure, punctuation, grammar and spell checking. people are more likely to reply if you make your posts interesting, so type away and have fun with your threads. give somebody something interesting to respond to.
06. no spamming
i will kill you :] we have a board for advertising. use it. this also involves pming people to join your site. if i get somebody complaining that you've done this i'll get incredibly annoyed ¬¬
07. respect
give it to others and they'll return it. it's not hard really. we want to see no arguments on this site, no racism, sexism or any other 'ism's .. other than prism's because i like those. don't steal anything from this site and if you do wish to use anything always ask the admins first. i'm omniscient too.. i see everything.. so there's point trying to hide things >.>
08. mary-sues / gary-stus
how would you like me to come in and throw up all over your pretty perfection? everybody has flaws, no matter who they are. even the queen of england has flaws, are you saying you're better than royalty? are you? are you?! you're not :]
10. rape, pregnancies, injury, etc
will happen because, let's face it, this is a teen site with teen drama and a dash of chemically induced paranoia. it'll all happen. just make sure an admin is aware of it though and all characters involved are informed properly.
11. plagiarism
no. stealing. off. of. anybody.
that it not hard to explain. it's not nice to steal ever. even if you give credit i personally think it means little unless the person is informed of their work being used elsewhere.
12. activity
we will do monthly activity checks to make sure that people are up staying upon the board. if, for any reason, you'll be missing an activity check, please say so within the leavers board and we'll make sure your accoutns are safe.
