Built in the year 2000 Los Angeles School for Performing Arts quickly became the leading school of its kind in the LA county. The school quickly became populated with students. Every student was there for a different reason, some where there to begin their acting careers while others come for dance, but most are there for their passion in the arts.
The school was built by Andrew Valencia a very sweet old man who had a passion for the performing arts. The old man hired his son-in-law to become the Headmaster. Maxwell Davenport was 32 years old when he became the headmaster of this school. Maxwell had been a head master at a private school in Miami when he got the call from his father-in-law to take on his school. Of course the man said yes. He then up rooted his family and they moved from Miami to LA.
Today the school is running smoothly they have over five hundred students attending from grades six through twelve. The competition is hot here. Everything is now or never, hot or cold, nothing stays the same for more than a week. Kids are getting jobs and having a blast! Will you be part of the party or just stay in the shadows?
