HISTORY:

raven jase williams was born to a poor mother on the streets of chicago and given up to a family with 'better means'. he grew up frustratingly poor, resorting to stealing from stores to feed both him and his family, breaking into houses, beating people up as soon as he was old enough. granted, this usually involved following his family into the streets and pointing a gun at someone while they robbed them, but when you're only 8 years old that's a lot. naturally, he grew up as a bully and a thief, taking whatever he wanted when he wanted it and not giving a damn about anyone else's choices, opinions or lives in general.

he began to enjoy hurting people, so much so that he was thrown in a young offenders institute when he was just ten years old. he was in for grievious bodily harm and not due for release until he was fifteen years old. he was removed from his 'family', who were also arrested for various offences, and settled into prison life. when he was twelve years old, a man came to see him and offered him a transfer to a new facility, bellafields. he claimed it was an experimental facility to reform problem children and reintroduce them into society. he claimed that it would get him out of prison by his thirteenth birthday, so who was he to refuse? he naturally went with them.

as a new, and much younger student, he was picked on immediately until his aggression began to show up in force. he was sickly because of the radiation, his bones seeming to warp, in constant agony and violently lashing out. he grew feathers on his arms, then one day around his fifteenth birthday, he snapped into the form of a crow in the most agonising experience of his life. bones burst through his flesh and left him scarred. this continued until finally, when he was just about 17 he was fully evolved and could do this with only minor dislocations. he also developed night vision.
